The Ella Project expands patent pro bono services to Alabama and Mississippi

The Ella Project, a New Orleans based pro bono legal services provider, announces expansion into Mississippi and Alabama for its patent pro bono services. The newly expanded Gulf South Invents program works in coordination with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to match low to moderate income inventors with patent attorneys to prepare an initial application for patent protection. The Ella Project launched services to Louisiana inventors in 2019 and looks forward to bringing these services to our neighboring states and working to grow the economy and entrepreneurial activity in our region.

“The Gulf South is bursting with talent and creativity,” says The Ella Project’s Co-Founder Gene Meneray, “But our people often lack access to resources and services to harness that creativity. We see this expansion as a key component to continuing to develop a modern economy in our region and look forward to working with inventors and attorneys throughout the Gulf South.”

Clients seeking assistance should visit The Ella Project’s website. The Ella Project is also seeking volunteer attorneys in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama looking to assist moderate income inventors. Attorneys and inventors can find more information at https://ellanola.org/for-inventors
