Can I do that?: Changing your Artistic Path with Trey McIntyre

Our I Can Do That series continues with a change up, as we talk to artist Trey McIntyre, who achieved great acclaim with his Trey McIntyre Project dance company before shuttering the company in 2014 to follow a different artistic path. Joining Trey in this conversation on June 6th at 2:00 Central via Zoom will be veteran arts administrator Mollie Quinlan-Hayes as they discuss:

  • Successful artists changing their artistic fields or approaches.

  • Successes and challenges in balancing artistry and growing a company.

  • Dealing with public perception and the fear of alienating your fans when you change your artistic path.

  • The actual work in closing down a successful organization, and then coming back.

  • Plus your questions!
