Ella Project receives NEA Artworks grant, launches business workshops

The Ella Project is bringing its Visual Artists Business Boot Camp to all nine regions of Louisiana. This 15 hour weekend intensive workshop takes visual artists through the aspects of launching or enhancing their arts career, and addresses topics such as
  • How and why people buy art
  • Grass roots marketing and branding
  • Effective use of social media
  • Working with galleries, festivals, and public art
  • Copyright and Trademark
  • Basic Finance
  • Developing a Career Plan.
Starting in Monroe on February 23-24th, then moving to Alexandria, in March and ultimately throughout the state, this workshop is led by Ella Project Co-Founder Gene Meneray, with further instruction provided by attorneys Mark Davis and Ashlye Keaton, marketering pro Andrew Gaiennie, and gallerist and social media maven Katie Odell.
